How We Deliver

Three Stages. Zero Surprises.

Every utility connection we deliver follows the same proven three-stage process. You get one point of contact, weekly updates, and full visibility from the first phone call to the final meter reading.

Our Proven 3-Stage Process

From your first enquiry to a fully operational utility system, every project follows the same three stages.

The Full Breakdown

What Happens at Every Stage

A detailed look at the substeps, deliverables, and responsibilities at each stage of your project.

1

Plan

Laying the foundation. We assess your site, design the utility networks, and get every application submitted before a single trench is dug.

Step 1

Initial enquiry and site assessment

USP reviews your site plans, scope, and timeline requirements. We visit the site if needed and identify any constraints early.

Step 2

Feasibility study and utility mapping

We identify existing services, capacity constraints, and the optimal connection strategy for gas, water, electric, and EV.

Step 3

Detailed design across all disciplines

Gas, water, electric, and EV designs produced to meet network operator standards. One integrated design pack, not four separate ones.

Step 4

Application submissions and approvals

We submit all applications to network operators and local authorities on your behalf. You sign one set of paperwork with us.

What you receive at the end of this stage

  • Site assessment report
  • Feasibility study with utility mapping
  • Detailed design drawings per utility
  • Application confirmations and reference numbers
  • Project programme with key milestones

What you do

  • Provide site plans
  • Confirm scope
  • Approve designs
  • Grant site access

What we do

  • Conduct surveys
  • Produce designs
  • Submit applications
  • Coordinate with network operators
  • Manage the programme
2

Connect

Boots on the ground. We mobilise, excavate, install, and coordinate every utility in the right sequence with weekly updates throughout.

Step 1

Mobilisation and site setup

Traffic management, welfare, and site compound established. RAMS and method statements issued before any work begins.

Step 2

Excavation and infrastructure installation

Trenching, pipe laying, cable pulling, and duct installation to design specification. Every metre built to network operator standards.

Step 3

Multi-utility coordination

Gas, water, electric, and EV works sequenced to share trenches and minimise disruption. One dig, multiple services.

Step 4

Compliance inspections and quality checks

LRQA audits, pressure testing, and network operator inspections at each stage. Nothing moves forward until it passes.

What you receive at the end of this stage

  • RAMS and method statements
  • Weekly progress reports with photos
  • Inspection and test certificates
  • As-built drawings (updated progressively)

What you do

  • Maintain site access
  • Attend progress meetings if required
  • Flag any programme changes

What we do

  • Manage all groundworks
  • Coordinate utilities
  • Handle traffic management
  • Run inspections
  • Provide weekly updates
3

Power-Up

The finish line. We test every network, install meters, compile the full documentation pack, and hand over a fully operational utility system.

Step 1

Pressure testing and system validation

Every network is tested to the relevant standard before activation. Gas, water, and electric each verified independently.

Step 2

Meter installation and activation

Gas, water, and electric meters fitted and registered with the network operator. MPAN and MPRN numbers confirmed.

Step 3

Documentation and certification

Full as-built packs, compliance certificates, and warranty documentation compiled. Everything you need in one pack.

Step 4

Clean handover and site restoration

Reinstatement completed, site tidied, and all documentation handed over. You are left with a clean site and a fully operational utility system.

What you receive at the end of this stage

  • Pressure test and commissioning certificates
  • Meter installation confirmations and MPAN/MPRN numbers
  • Full as-built drawing pack
  • Compliance certificate bundle
  • Warranty documentation
  • Site restoration sign-off

What you do

  • Arrange meter appointments if required
  • Confirm handover acceptance

What we do

  • Run all tests
  • Install meters
  • Compile documentation
  • Restore the site
  • Hand over the completed package

Process FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Timelines vary by project scale. A single gas connection might take 6 to 8 weeks, whilst a multi-utility housing development could be 12 to 20 weeks. Your project manager will provide a detailed programme at the Plan stage.
Site plans, planning permission details (if available), an idea of the number and type of connections required, and your target completion date. We can work with rough information initially and refine as we go.
You get a dedicated project manager from day one. They handle all coordination with network operators, subcontractors, and local authorities so you only ever need to make one call.
We design and install gas, water, electric, and EV infrastructure together, sharing trenches where possible. This reduces excavation, speeds up delivery, and cuts cost compared to appointing separate contractors.
We manage all network operator relationships and chase applications proactively. If a delay occurs, your project manager will flag it immediately and adjust the programme to minimise impact on your build.
Yes. We deliver projects nationwide across the UK, from single connections to large-scale multi-utility developments.
