The Challenge
When the Sussex DoP Rises project in Bexhill-on-Sea began, the goal was clear: ensure the new hospital’s water infrastructure met the highest standards. USP was entrusted with this critical task, delivering the project seamlessly within one month in August 2024.
Our Approach
The team planned, installed, tested, and commissioned a 140m, 180mm barrier pipe water network system with full compliance and minimal disruption.
Pre-Construction Consultation
Engaged stakeholders through meetings to secure NRSWA compliance and CAD drawing approvals, aligning all parties before any groundwork started.
Installation
Laid 140 metres of 180mm barrier pipe using an open trench method, maintaining precision throughout the single-month programme.
Testing and Certification
Conducted rigorous testing, chlorination, and auditing. Compliance checks by LRQA and the local authority reported zero issues across all inspections.
Documentation
Provided detailed photographic evidence, test certifications, and as-laid drawings for the hospital’s internal O&M manuals.
The Results
The water network system was installed, tested, and commissioned without delays or setbacks. The project met all compliance requirements, earning high praise from the client and stakeholders.
Pre-construction planning ensured NRSWA compliance and stakeholder alignment from the outset. The 140m barrier pipe installation was completed to the highest standards, and all testing, audits, and documentation were handed over with zero issues raised.
